Job Vacancy - Greater Manchester Mayor’s Disabled People’s Panel Lead

 

Closing date: Monday 18th February

 

 

Salary: £31,100 (per annum, Pro rata)

 

Length of post: Currently, this is a fixed term post and will end on 31st March 2020

 

Hours: 21hours per week (to be worked flexible and to the needs of the Panel)

 

 

We believe that Greater Manchester is the first Combined Authority in the country to establish a formal partnership between Disabled People’s Organisations and the elected Mayor.

In this workshop, we will talk about the employment rights of disabled people and support and adjustments you can get as a disabled employee, trainee, or applicant. We will also talk about job applications, and what you can do if you want to gain work experience while you are on out-of-work benefits.

This workshop is led by Charlie Hallam and Sez Thomasin who are Sheffield based disabled queer sex nerds who want to help everyone get the sex they truly want.

There is also a chance to make your own protest badge or placard and add to a collaborative banner in a printing workshop with Venture Arts.

Activities suitable for age 5+ but all ages welcome.

Chris Hughes R.I.P

All of us at GMCDP were very sad when we heard that Chris Hughes had died on 22 November 2018. We send our thoughts to Chris’s friends, and especially his family as Chris’s younger brother, Andrew, also died 2 days before Chris.
