GMCDP currently has an opportunity for you to shape the way Manchester City is being planned. They have announced a Climate Change Emergency and want to encourage cleaner and greener air within the city. One way of achieving this would be to create Active Neighbourhoods in which, people are encouraged to make short trips on foot, by cycle and public transport. We would like to share the following opportunity to shape the development of these
GM Active Neighbourhoods: What do you think?
Greater Manchester Active Neighbourhood is a project delivered by TfGM, Arup, Sustrans and 10GM in partnership with Manchester City Council and will have community and resident voices at its heart. No one knows your favourite city spots quite like you do. We are working collaboratively to create designs, coproduce solutions, and ensure that all voices are heard.
It aims to create places where:
People are prioritised over cars, enabling them to make short trips on foot, by cycle and by public transport
Creating more attractive places to spend time
Residential streets are more inclusive and safer for people including children to move around in
Come and share your thoughts on these neighbourhoods and join us for a couple of hours of lively conversation!
