CHANGE’s purpose is to challenge the injustices experienced by people with learning disabilities by addressing issues of power. Working as equal partners of people with disabilities, we use new ways to drive change and enable genuine inclusion.

CHANGE is joining the Advonet group from September 1st. Advonet is a Leeds-based advocacy organisation with complementary vision and values to those of CHANGE. The move will free CHANGE up to focus on its strengths of securing social justice for people with learning and other disabilities.

Under this new partnership arrangement, the direction of CHANGE, the manager and team will be steered by the CHANGE committee. The CHANGE committee will be supported Advonet’s Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team to develop and deliver its strategic plans; the Manager of CHANGE will be supported by Advonet to manage its day to day operations.
