In-person events for International Day of Disabled People and UK Disability History Month

We are looking forward to taking part in two in-person events in Manchester in the first week of December!

A celebration of International Day of Disabled People

Friday 3 December 2021, 12.00pm - 4.00pm
At Manchester Central Library 
£ Free

Jointly organised by Manchester City Council, Manchester Libraries and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Hands-on workshop with Venture Arts, disability history films screenings and panel discussion. 

There will be light refreshments and BSL interpretation.

People's History Museum Nothing about Us Without Us network meeting and archive open day

Saturday 4 December 2021, 12.00pm - 4.00pm
At People's History Museum, Manchester
£ free

An informal and celebratory gathering as part of UK Disability History Month.

There will be a chance to meet the PHM team, including their recently appointed community curators and delve into the archive.

A small number of disabled people's organisations, including us, will have stalls.

This is a drop in event so there is no need to book.
