The New Campaign Group had its second meeting on Wednesday 19th April at 6:30pm. The meetings will be every two weeks and alternate between daytime and evening meetings, so that people with different schedules get a chance to attend. Strategic- large issues affecting many.
Peer- smaller issues we support each other to solve.
Self care is important.
How to prioritise issues-
Ask yourself:
- How many people are affected by it?
- What is the severity of the effect?
- What is the opportunity to cause change?

Media Training
We are looking for disabled campaigners who want to do media training so they can go on TV, Internet, Radio and really effectively get campaign messages across and talk about the issues important to us. Come to a meeting to find out more.

We are supporting the Equal Pavements Pledge
We are researching how to improve access at Manchester Theatres.
Often lifts at stations are out of order, they do not get repaired fast enough. We will talk to Transport for Greater Manchester about this.
Right to View Your Medical Records
You have a right to see you medical records. But sometimes they can refuse access. We are looking into how to appeal and change this.
