Manchester Disabled People’s Project

GMCDP works to promote the full inclusion of disabled people in society and challenge the discrimination and oppression of disabled people.

As part of this work, the Manchester Disabled People’s Project (MDDP) provides disabled Manchester residents with:

  • Weekly online coffee meetings
  • Monthly online groups: including the Disabled LGBTQIA+ People’s group
  • In-person socials: including theatre, film, dance and music events
  • Educational events on disability rights, Hustings (meetings to hear from people who want to be elected to the council, parliament, etc)
  • and more...

See our events page for details and to book your free place.

We remove barriers for disabled Mancunians to come along by providing:

  • Accessible transport (or refunds of travel costs)
  • Personal Assistance
  • Free tickets and food & drink at events
  • BSL interpreting
  • Other access needs as requested

Funding for our Welfare Benefits Advice also comes from this project.
