University of Manchester's third event in their Disability History Month calendar, you are warmly invited to share in an open discussion on the history of the disabled people's movement, chaired by one of UMSU's Disabled Students Officers, Dorian Gordon.
A workshop will be included in this session run by the NUS Disabled Students Officer Rachel O'Brien.
The room is wheelchair accessible by lift and this floor of the building is normally quiet. The safe space is on the same floor, so if you need some time out from the discussion that is available to you. Tea and coffee will be provided. Please contact dorian.gordon@student.manchester.ac.uk if you have any particular requirements
This event is open to all and disabled activists in the local community to come along, talk a little about the history of their groups, and tell us where their work is leading them.
