Effective Self Advocacy

Registration is closed for this event
The COVID 19 pandemic has fed on the injustices and inequalities in society and has only exaggerated these further. GMCDP believes that now more than ever, it is really important that disabled have the right skills and qualities that enable us to effectively speak up for ourselves.

A text poster. The text reads "Self-advocacy is the ability to articulate one's needs and make informed decisions about the support necessary to meet those needs." There is a stick figure in the middle holding up their hand and sparks coming off it. The text wraps around this imageA group od GMCDP members speaking to a local MP in order to change the rights of disabled residents of Manchester. There are about 15 people either holding placards or paper. The MP is smiling and signing some papers infront of a camera
